What happens to what you send me

What is collected

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing else. There is no account to create, no newsletter sign-up, and no payment taken on this website.

What is not collected

There are no analytics on this site, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party cookies. Nobody is following you around the internet because you read this page.

Why, and what happens to it

Your enquiry is sent by email to the studio so that it can be answered. That is the only purpose. It is not sold, rented, shared with anyone else, or used to market anything to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked a question and expect a reply.

Where it is held

The website runs on Google Cloud in Europe. Enquiry emails are delivered to and stored in a Google Workspace mailbox. Google acts as a processor in both cases.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. If we do work together, the correspondence and your manuscript are kept for as long as the project needs and for six years afterwards, which is how long UK business records have to be retained. Your manuscript is never shared with anyone and is never used to train anything.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being held at all. Ask through the contact form and it will be done within one month, free of charge. If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
